The Friends of the Library are an enthusiastic group of people who value libraries, and the services they provide to the community. These community minded individuals help promote awareness of the library's programs and services and aid in raising funds to meet special library needs. Friends also have the opportunity to meet new people and enjoying the benefits of being a Friend of the Library.

In the past, the Friends of the Library have participated in these events:
  • Espresso Evenings featuring local writers
  • Building a float in the annual Farmer's Day Parade, for which they won first place in their category.
  • The Annual Gigantic Used Book Sale in May
  • Raffles such as the Quilt Raffle, which featured a beautiful hand sewn quilt and had been generously donated to the library by the Stony Plain Quilter's Guild.
