About our Card:

When you become a Member of the Stony Plain Public Library, you will receive an Alberta Library Card. This card may be used in over 300 libraries around Alberta. Material borrowed from other Alberta libraries can be returned to the Stony Plain Public Library.

Your library card is:

Non-transferable: only you may use your card. If you lose your card, please contact the library. We will issue you another card for $4.00 and change card information so that your card cannot be used illegally.

Valid for one full year from the date of issue.

Required to check-out items! Please remember to bring your card to the library. Keep it in a safe place so that it is handy when you need it.

A key to online access. With your library card barcode and your four digit PIN number, you may search our catalogue and request or renew books, magazines, and audiotapes.

Overdue Fees
25 cents per day for overdue books, magazines, music CDs, and audiobooks.

$1 per day for video or DVD

Lost and damaged items have variable charges for replacement, depending on cost of the book and market value. There is also a $5.00 processing fee for replacing lost items.

When a card accumulates $10 or more in unpaid fines, it is automatically suspended from checking out more items.
