Computers

The library currently has ten computers for public internet use, two computers for browsing our catalogue and two computers reserved for the use of children. Here is the lowdown on library computers:

Computer and internet use are free, but we can only provide access to each patron for one hour a day, once a day. By using our computers, you are agreeing to our Internet Use Policy.

There is a cost to print: $0.25 per page or $1.00 to print in colour.

Computers are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. If all computers are in use, there is a waiting list.

Library computers can be used to access the internet and have programs such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint for projects, assignments or resumes. All computers also have messaging software such as Microsoft Instant Messenger and Yahoo Messenger. Please note that you cannot save your work onto library computers, so you must bring your own disc or USB stick.

Wireless and Wired Internet Access for Laptop / Notebook Computers

Would you like to bring your laptop to the library? The library has two options for laptop users.

Wired Connection
The library has three wired internet connections for laptops. These spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Wireless
Throughout the library, there is wireless access for devices that have a wireless modem. In order to use the wireless, you must use enter a valid library card number and PIN. If you do not have a library card, a guest number and PIN can be obtained at the circulation desk, along with a copy of the library's wireless access policy.

Generally, the closer you are to the front desk, the stronger our wireless signal is.
